This policy covers tapaswibaskota.com.np and its pages (the portfolio, the Security+ study notes and the tax-return organiser). The sister sites explainer.tapaswibaskota.com.np and tools.tapaswibaskota.com.np are run by the same person. This site is operated by Tapaswi Baskota, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are read. It sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, your device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. It is not used to identify you personally. Google's own explanation is at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. In line with Google's requirements:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing history.

The contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, your name, email address and message are stored in a private Cloudflare storage space for this site and may also be forwarded to a private issue tracker so that I can reply. They are used only to answer you. They are never sold or shared, and never added to a mailing list you did not ask to join. The form includes a hidden field that catches spam bots; it collects nothing about you.

Data kept on your own device

The study notes remember your flashcard and quiz progress, and the tax-return organiser remembers what you type, using your browser's localStorage. That information stays on your device and is never sent to this site. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Your choices

You can read the whole site without submitting anything. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google Analytics and ad cookies respect those settings. To ask what I hold about you, or to have it deleted, email tapaswibaskota@outlook.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
